I absolutely loved this workout! The harness sprints helped to work on my form and develop a quick first step. This type of drill is important for a lacrosse player because creating a quick first step can help beat defenders, get to a ground ball, and overall help you to become a faster player.

This workout is very challenging. The most difficult part would be the dumbbell step ups. Using a heavy weight, you have to make sure your form is perfect to get the full effect. Stepping high while keeping your toe pointed up really makes a difference. I really enjoyed the single leg squats. Again, you have to go very slowly.

Why this is important: Especially in women lacrosse everything is stop and go. When the whistle blows, we want to be the fastest off that whistle, whether we in the defensive end of the offensive end, we want to be the fastest off that reaction.
