6.52 A little late but the torch relay is up and running again. As he heads down Castle Meadow the first torch bearer of the day is really lapping it up, stopping to speak to people and shake their hands and show them the torch. We are getting reports that more than 1,500 people turned out in Hethersett well done guys.

We're getting some great reaction to the torch this morning. Picture on camera so can't show it yet! torchrelay.

7.30 We're now heading out of the city towards Thorpe. It's been a brilliant start to Nike Lebron Soldier 7 Red

8.07 We're now heading into Acle and the crowds are five deep. Loads of peeople in Filby too. Looks like the flame is a little bit late, but nothing too major. On the outskirts of Acle the crowd doesn't look too big, but I'm sure that will change. I do like those people though who attempt to run alongside it. Not quite sure why, they're obviously just excited.

6.53 Our torch bearer has now stopped his impromptu meet and greet and is heading off towards Connie Adam, former Olympian fencer.

7.49 One of my favourite torch stories of the two days is Ena Mallett, a lollipop lady at South Walsham Fairhaven Primary, who received a massive cheer as she picked up the flame in Thorpe. She wasn't too slow off the mark either. She's been there for 23 years and is clearly much loved.

It was a fantastic day for the county yesterday as thousands lined the streets to see the torch make its way through our communities as it nears the Olympic Stadium.

6.39 The torch has been to Hethersett, where it paid a special visit. The village was the only in the country to persuade the organisers to make a stop off, such was their enthusiasm. Reporter Adam Gretton tells me the village made it worthwhile, with virtually the whole village, and no doubt people living nearby, turning Nike Lebron High Tops up to catch just a glimpse of the torch.

7.54 The torch is back in the van (people are even turning out to see the van) and on its way to Acle, where we have the first of our own reporter and photographer relays going on. Photographer Simon Parker has already been up bright and early to see the torch in Hethersett and now joins Lucy Clapham in Acle. Norwich reporter Kate Scotter, meanwhile, was up bright and early for the start of the Norwich run, and is now heading off to Filby for the fun and frolics. These guys sure are putting in some fantastic efforts of their own.

We'll be following its route right up to Aldeburgh, giving you the colour, people's reaction and the stories of the torch bearers along the way. For now though let's get on with the relay!

7am The iconic torch is nearing one of Norwich's icons the Cathedral. People are literally running alongside the torch as it heads through the city. Once it goes through the cathedral it will take to the water to be transported across the River Wensum in a special Norwich flotilla.

7.05 As the torch heads down Prince of Wales Road, rowers are ready and waiting to carry the flame across the River Wensum, where there's a fantastic turn out along the riverbank.

7.43 We're Nike Metcon Mens Sale

Elsewhere crowds are starting to build up further down the route at Acle, Filby and even Yarmouth.

6.40 In Norwich meanwhile we have big crowds again with people setting their alarms early to watch the torch before going off to get on with their daily lives.

a Thursday it has to be said, can't see that anyone will go into work in a bad mood today.

7.17 The flame has crossed the bridge, where it was greeted to a chorus of Rule Britannia by a choir from the Norwich School. It's now heading down riverside (stopping for a Chinese meal and a game of bowling?) before heading towards Thorpe.

7.21 I think it's fair to say the torch route Nike Kyrie Inferno

in Thorpe St Andrew for the torch's final stay in Norwich. It's definitely going to be missed judging by how much people in Norwich have enjoyed having it here. Down the road in Acle the music has started and the fun begins.

Today we are in for much of the same as it leaves Norwich, heads east towards Great Yarmouth before going to Lowestoft, through Suffolk and ending in Ipswich.

Who's ready for another day of history being made?

8.18 Acle has had its torch relay fun and the convoy is off to Filby. Traffic looks fine, imagine if it was one of those days when the A47 is snarled up. Think we'd have seen it late then.

has slowed down now as we head up Kett's Hill. Fortunately there's a handover (called a torch kiss) on the middle of Kett's Hill to give the bearers a bit of a break. We now have Suzi Knights, who works for the Norwich YMCA, running with the torch. It's been so great in Norfolk to see so many worthy and well deserved torch bearers. Not a fan of it being handed to pop stars and the like.

7.50 It's a great crowd in Thorpe. I wonder if many people have been to several spots to catch a glimpse of the torch? Let us know if you have. It's starting to get a bit livelier in Prospect House, the home of the EDP and Evening News now and soon work will start apace on tomorrow's papers. We'll bring you 12 pages of colour in the EDP and four in the Evening News, with more planned for Saturday.
