Can you even imagine having ALL the money and time to do whatever you wanted to do in life? The sky was truly the limit. Everything on your bucket list could be fulfilled.
We sometimes forsake what's really important and begin to acquire all these things that we have to work like dogs to keep or maintain, and it comes at the neglect of those things that matter most. When we finally come to our senses, it is often too late. We have been deceived by the riches.

The word of God tells us that this world is headed for destruction. Even secular scientists have said that this world is in deep trouble and they do not know how it will sustain itself or its inhabitants. None of us knows when this will be, but it is best that we do not put our hope and Nike Zoom Hyperrev 2015
Ecclesiastes 2 goes into all the things that Solomon explored for the sake of seeing where meaning really existed. In Ecclesiastes 1:16, he said, "I said to myself, Look, I am wiser than any of the kings who ruled in Jerusalem before me. I have greater wisdom and knowledge than any of them." So I set out to learn everything from wisdom to madness and folly. But I learned firsthand that pursuing all this is like chasing the wind."
"Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth; for in these things I delight, saith the Lord."
The conclusion that he came to was that it was all vanity emptiness. He reiterates in Ecclesiastes 5:10b, "How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness."
Solomon was the wealthiest man in the entire world and had the opportunity, time, and money to deeply examine such matters. He explored fame, riches, relationships, pleasures and all that a man could possibly desire and he withheld nothing from himself.
As I was reading the Bible during my daily devotions, I came to a place in the scriptures that really leaped off the page. It was a passage in Jeremiah 9:23 24, and it read:
People often take pride in the most ridiculous things. They place value on things that have such little significance in the long run. People pursue things that fail to deliver the desired reward once they have been obtained, which leads to further emptiness and a quest for the next "promising" thing.
obey Him. Glory in this alone.
This verse really stood out to me because people are often found glorying in something. They glory in their beauty or they glory in their athletic abilities. They glory in their wealth or they glory in their intelligence.

John 1:14 says "The word was made flesh and dwelt among us (Jesus) and we beheld His glory John 1:1 also says "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God." So since the word is God, we must study the Bible and understand Nike Zoom All Out Flyknit Low
I Timothy 6:10 11 says, "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love patience, and meekness."
Sure, it is okay for us to utilize our giftings and even be thankful to God for giving Nike Lebron 11 Graffiti Review them to us. However, we are not to find pride and glory in those things.
If wealth, fame and beauty temporal things bring lasting peace and happiness, then Hollywood would be the center of all happiness. But it is not. Many magazines make their headlines on the vast unhappiness of the beautiful, rich, and famous. So apparently that is not "where it's at."
As I have gotten older, sometimes I carefully listen to what people are saying. I want to see where their hearts are.
People glory in their talents or they glory in who they know. But this verse tells us to glory in knowing God, not man. It says that if you are going to glory in anything at all, let your glorying be in understanding God and knowing Him. Nothing else matters.
Mark 4:19 tells us that riches are deceitful and they choke out the truth in our lives. We are deceived when we think if we could just win the lottery, then we would be happy and our problems would be solved. Or if we just had this or that, everything would be different in our lives.
Find glory in the things that matter to God
This is a statement made by the wealthiest man who ever lived. I find it odd that we see this same conclusion all around us, but we still try to pursue these temporal things to find peace, happiness, and satisfaction. Why is that?
