Inspired by this year festival being Reelout 14, organizers of Kingston annual queer film and video festival have added a new element: Reelout4Teens. The workshops, events and films specifically catered to youth is a new addition to the Reelout film festival.

workshops being offered are thanks to funding by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, said Salton. year we offering three consecutive workshops in the afternoon. they can go see a collection of short films, three of them being local, where they see a lot of what they gone over during the day. workshops include Finding Your Cinematic Story, instructing young people on how to formulate, develop and implement their great story ideas into a screenplay format. The second workshop of the day is Directing Actors Acting on Film. The final workshop is a panel discussion, Engaging Youth Through Film, where panelists will share their triumphs and challenges engaging youth through film projects.
